15-year-old Eurasian Fiona Fussi won the Elite Model Look Singapore 2011 competition held at Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore last night in front of a 300-plus crowd.
The 175 cm tall Eurasian student, born to an Austrian father and Hong Kong mother, cried and said that the win was dedicated to her grandmother, who died of cancer three months ago.
Fiona was the hot favourite of the night, wowing the crowd and judges with her fresh-faced beauty, flawless skin and stunning features.
The United World College student, born in Singapore, holds an Austrian passport but is a Singapore permanent resident, having lived there her whole life. Fiona says she is currently unattached though she has been dating since she was 13.
Fiona won an all-expenses-paid trip to Shanghai to represent Singapore in the Elite Model Look international finals, which will be held on Dec 6.
She beat 12 other finalists of different nationalities to win the title. To be eligible to compete, the girls have to be living in the country they choose to compete in.
13 girls selected from 45 girls last Sunday competed to vie for the Singapore leg of the Elite Model Look last night at the Red Dot Museum. The runway collection last night were from Guess 2012 Spring Collection of Sports, Ready-to-Wear, Swimwear and evening wear.
Fiona will be heading to Shanghai on 6 December 2011 to compete with almost 80 peers from 60 countries. The winners of the global competition will walk away with an Elite Paris modelling contract worth US$350,000 (S$446,000).
18-year-old Singaporean student Putri Diana Abdullah, whose height is 175 cm, emerged the first runner-up, winning a trip to Paris.
16 year old Danish, Louise Arild, who is 177cm tall, came in 2nd runner-up,. She will be going to Paris for an all expense paid trip.
Jeremy Tan, Fashion Producer for the Audi Fashion Festival and Blueprint exhibition, Francis Cheong, renowned fashion designer, the Elite Model Look panel of directors and special guest judge, supermodel Philippa Lett, were the judges for the night.
The Blueprint Runway Model Award was won by 15 year old British Maddie Cox, 178 cm tall, who will be participating in three of Blueprint Fashion Shows in 2012.
The other finalists will be getting a contract with Elite Models in Singapore.
