With Flora Cheung about to debut on Hong Kong’s first nude cooking show, the curiousity over this show has become reached a frenzy.  My first article on this has reached No. 1 on Google search if you google “Naked chef Flora Cheung.”

This post is essentially to provide more photos of the naked chef Flora Cheung as well as her video clips.

Naked chef in action.....are you looking at her cooking or are your eyes glued to something else?

Naked chef Flora Cheung

Pity the pan is not a see-though pan, haha!

Naked chef Flora Cheung wearing a tailor-made fully transparent apron that won't leave much to the imagination.

Each 30-minute episode of the Cantonese language show hosted by the 26-year-old Flora Cheung will be broadcasted on the Ice Fire channel on NOW TV, Hong Kong Broadband Network and TVB Pay Vision.

For a taste of the show, check out the Youtube trailer in which the camera follows Cheung as she navigates the wet markets of Hong Kong, fully clothed. After she purchases ingredients, Cheung goes into her kitchen to cook. Here, she strips and dons a transparent apron that protects her and yet reveals all.

The following YouTube video is a confidential clip of the naked chef as she starts to strip. It is a real teaser !

Two Chinese men have set a new world record for endurance after standing encased in ice for two hours.

Jin Songhao, 54,  and Chen Kecai, 52, two daredevils from China, have beaten the previous world record for the longest ice bath.

Wim Hof, the Dutch known as “Ice-Man”, had spent New-Year’s Eve covered with ice cubes, and claimed the title of the longest ice bath, with 115 minutes. But Chen, who had set the Guinness world record for the longest time spent in direct full body contact with ice on March 14, 2010 with a time of 1 hour, 48 minutes and 21 seconds, wasn’t about to just sit by and watch his title get snatched right from under him. Together with fellow iceman Jin Songhao, they staged their own cold-enduring event.

Wim Hof

The stage was set publically on January 3rd, in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, where the two men stripped down to their swimming trunks and stepped into two transparent boxes. Ice was then poured in up to their necks. It was very tough because Chen Kecai started shivering after “just” 40 minutes, but he insisted the doctors let him see his challenge through to the end in the cold endurance competition.

The two Chinese men Chen Kecai (left) and Jin Songhao (right)

Chen lasted for 118 minutes, after which medics pulled him out of the box because of a precipitous fall in his body temperature. He has thus managed to beat his Dutch rival’s record. Hof retains the record for the fastest-ever half marathon run barefoot on snow.

Event assistants help Chen Kecai to get out of the glass container during a cold endurance competition against Jin Songhao on the Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie, Hubei province, China, January 3, 2011.

Unfortunately for him, Jin Songhao lasted 120 minutes and is the new holder of the record for the world’s longest ice bath. Jin  even took the time to write some Chinese calligraphy during the ordeal, penning a sign in praise of the Communist party. “I’m fine, I’m fine,” he managed to say, upon being removed from the ice, his body having turned bright red.

The winner Jin Songhao

Both Chen and Jin hail from the frozen Chinese province of Heilongjiang, or Black Dragon River, which borders Siberia, where temperatures can drop to -40C in winter.

Well, at least Chen Kecai can take comfort in the fact that he lost to a fellow country man.

An Internet video of a homeless panhandling man showing off his self-described “God-given gift of voice” has landed him a spot on a local radio show, a dream job with the Cleveland Cavaliers and a house.

Left homeless after his life and career were ruined by drugs and alcohol, Ted Williams has been offered a job by the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. He and his compelling tale became an online sensation after The Columbus Dispatch posted a video clip of Williams demonstrating his voice-over skills by the side of the road.

Doral Chenoweth III, a reporter from the Columbus Dispatch, came across Williams while he was panhandling near Interstate 71 recently, holding a sign that touted his “God-given gift of voice” and explained that he was a former radio announcer who had fallen on hard times.

“Any help will be gratefully appreciated,” the sign also read.

Homeless Williams panhandling with a sign touting his God-given gift of voice

Chenoweth was taken aback because Williams actually sounded better than the NPR news announcers and that he was not exaggerating when he said he had a great voice.

His delivery is as smooth as that of announcers heard on radio or television. People are now saying that Williams sounds like Don LaFontaine but better.

“This has been totally, totally amazing,” Williams said Wednesday, his voice choking with emotion. “I’m just so thankful. I’m getting a second chance. Amazing.”

“The Cleveland Cavaliers just offered me a full-time job and a house! A house! A house!” Ted Williams said while appearing on a morning radio show in Columbus, Ohio, called “ Dave and Jimmy.”

The Cavaliers offered the 53-year-old Williams a two-year contract, including living expenses, for a job that could include announcing work at the team’s arena. In court records, his address is listed as “Streets of Columbus.”

“I can’t believe what’s going on,” said Williams, a father of nine, adding he feels like Susan Boyle, the Scottish singing sensation who became an overnight star. “God gave me a million-dollar voice, and I just hope I can do right by him.”

The Homeless Man With Golden Voice with his new look

Williams was flying to New York Wednesday night for an appearance on the “Today Show” and a reunion with his 92-year-old mother, who lives in Bedford-Stuyvesant and whom he has not seen for years. Earlier, the website TMZ reported that airport officials would not let him board a plane because he didn’t have proper identification

Williams said he grew up in Brooklyn, and at 14 took a field trip to a radio station. While there, he was struck by the fact that one of the on-air announcers did not sound as good as him.

Williams was hooked. It took him years to develop his voice, and he also went to school for training.

“Alcohol and drugs — and a few other things — became my life,” Williams admitted, but added that he has “been two years clean.

New Yorkers recently got winter dumped over their heads in a few swift hours, leaving families all over the tri-state area bundled together in their homes.

As the blizzard started to dump snow in Astoria, Queens on December 26, filmmaker Jamie Stuart broke out a camera and tripod and captured the beauty of the blizzard from his window in a short3-minute movie called Idiot With A Tripod as an homage to the 1929 movie “Man With a Movie Camera.”

Once he finished editing and scoring his work, he sent the short film to Roger Ebert, who writes on his blog why it should be an Academy Award contender in the Live-Action Short category: “You can tell from the cinematography he knew exactly what he was doing and how to do it. He held the Vertov film in memory. Stuart must already been thinking of how he would do the edit and sound. Any professional will tell you the talent exhibited here is extraordinary.”

Ebert also went on to say that the movie should win an Academy Award for best live-action short subject.

Idiot with a Tripod is the final product of tons of snow, stuck cars, and the massive storm that hit the Northeast recently. The short film is only three minutes long, and is just about snow. Snow in the sense that dogs can’t go outside, cars got stuck and it was all caught on film.

Cars stuck in the snow

In my honest opinion, the movie is good. And I like the music too.

It’s really amazing that a break-in and attempted rape ends up somehow improving the lives of the victims.

Antoine Dodson made news in July 2010 when he gave an unintentionally hilarious interview to local news, which was subsequently auto-tuned by the Gregory Brothers into the catchy and hugely popular “Bed Intruder Song.” With 2010 coming to an end, this story is again making the rounds, stirring up even more publicity and fame for Dodson.

Dodson and his sister Kelly posing in the stairwell of the apartment complex where Kelly was attacked in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Gregory Brothers

Few viral videos are quite as joyously embraced as the “Bed Intruder Song.” On July 28, 24-year-old Antoine Dodson gave an animated interview to a WATF-48 news crew about an attempted rape of his younger sister in Huntsville, Alabama. In the news clip, Antoine Dodson taunts and ridicules his sister’s would-be rapist.

“Hide your kids,” he said directly to the camera, “hide your wife, and hide your husband, ’cause they rapin’ everybody out here.”

Dodson’s flamboyance sent the interview itself viral within a single day, and by July 31, the Gregory Brothers — already Internet stars with their “Autotune the News” segments — brought their pitch-correction software to Dodson’s interview to make the “Bed Intruder Song.”

It became by far Gregory Brothers’ biggest hit, with over 100,000 copies sold on iTunes and the song shot to #3 on the iTunes R&B list and #89 on the Billboard Top 100. The Gregory Brothers are splitting the proceeds with Dodson 50/50.

The music video for “Bed Intruder Song” has become the most-viewed YouTube video of 2010 despite having been created in the summer of this year. As of today, 2010, it has over 53 millions views, making the 24-year-old Dodson an Internet sensation.

It also culminated in one of the most surreal moments of the year: In October, Dodson was invited to sing “Bed Intruder Song” live at the 2010 BET Awards and found himself performing a computerized version of his own distraught voice, while the music and movie stars in the audience sang along.

Dodson has no intention of letting fame pass him by.

“You can expect to see a lot of me on TV,” he told AOL News cryptically in August. When asked by The Root about his future, he replied, “I plan to do a lot of things. I want to be everywhere. I want to get into the music industry. I want to be the voice of the people. Most of my fans are rape victims who are scared to talk about it.”

He’s told The Root he wants to be an advocate for gay rights and rape victims, and he told Us magazine that he wants to open a salon or a hotel.

Dodson says he’s no longer the same man who appeared in that famous interview. “At the time, I was very angry,” he told AOL News. “It was just a couple of hours after my sister was attacked. Today I’m cool, laid back, relaxed. I haven’t been that angry person since that clip.”

Dodson plans to use the money from the Bed Intruder Song selling for US$1.29 a download and T-shirt sales to move his family out of the Lincoln Park housing project where they say the attack happened.

“Blessings come in disguise,” Dodson said. “This is a golden opportunity for us. I’m gonna take it and run with it.”

Geeks across America flaunted Star Wars paraphernalia in solidarity with a girl who was bullied at school for having a Star Wars water bottle.

Katie Goldman

Katie Goldman is a cute little first grader who lives in Evanston, Illinois. She’s 7 years old and loves Star Wars. For a while she carried her Star Wars water bottle to school and then, one morning, she asked for the pink one instead. When her mom pressed the issue, Katie burst into tears.

“She wailed, ‘The first grade boys are teasing me at lunch because I have a Star Wars water bottle.  They say it’s only for boys.  Every day they make fun of me for drinking out of it.  I want them to stop, so I’ll just bring a pink water bottle,’” Goldman wrote, adding that she tried convincing Katie that it was OK to be different.

Carrie Goldman is the founder of Artwork By Carrie, based in Evanston, Illinois.  She has taken painting classes at Northwestern University and at the Palette and Chisel Academy. She is an award-winning oil painter, with a focus on landscapes including cityscapes, doors and rural country scenes.  Along with landscapes, she paints luminous portraits and still lifes.  She is a colorist and enjoys experimenting with a wide range of pigments on palette.

Carrie runs a blog on  about her life with Katie. Katie was adopted so she already feels different.

“I don’t want to be too different,” Katie lamented. “I’m already different. Nobody else in my class wears glasses or a patch, and nobody else was adopted. Now I’m even more different, because of my Star Wars water bottle.”

So Carrie wrote a post about her daughter’s experience on ChicagoNow and tried to work through it alone. This was on November 15. Support for Katie went viral after her mom’s blog post.

Goldman received an overwhelming response from proud geeks who lent their words of encouragement to Katie, assuring her that Star Wars was not just for boys.

Within a few hours Katie received thousands of comments offering her words of encouragement. ThinkGeek sent her a light saber. Catherine Taber, the voice of Padme in the Clone Wars contacted her, celebrating her difference. Lucasfilm sent her a bunch of gear, which she shared with her former bullies.

Over 30,000 people promised to don “Star Wars” gear On Friday in support of Katie. Katie’s plight struck a chord with tens of thousands of people offering to be her friends: “Star Wars” fans.

Star Wars geeks love you, Katie!

Through Facebook and her mom’s blog, supporters of the little girl have sent “Star Wars” toys, gear and love – and made her want to wear “Star Wars” gear to school again.

Twitter now has a hashtag #MayTheForceBeWithKatie and a Facebook event was created declaring Friday Dec. 10 a day to “Support Star Wars and Geek Pride for Katie.” Over 30,000 Facebookers said they were “attending.”

Commenters on ChicagoNow and on Facebook announced that they were wearing their Stormtrooper T-shirts and using their “Empire Strikes Back” coffee mugs on Friday. Some even said they were spreading the goodwill and donating Star Wars toys to children in hospitals and shelters across the country.

Goldman thanked the commenters — over a thousand of them — who shared their personal stories, saying that Katie was reading all of them. “You are all wonderful, and we can’t thank you enough,” she wrote on the blog.

Now, instead of crying about the bullies at school, Katie spends time reading supportive comments after dinner with her mom and dad.

“The Force will be with you,” one supporter wrote on Facebook. “Always.”

Katie got a full blast of geek love. Yes, Katie, may the force be with you!

May the force be with you, Katie!

In my earlier post about firefighter calendars, I only feature female firefighter calendars. This post is all about male firefighter calendars. It is really inspiring that these firefighters, both male and female, are doing their part for charities on top of saving lives and putting out fires.

The followings are some of the hottest male firefighter calendars.

NSW Firefighters Calendar

NSW Firefighters Calendar 2011

This firefighters calendar helps to raise money for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead Burns Unit and World Firefighters Games, with The Children’s Hospital given over $47,000.00 by these firefighters over the last 5 years.

The calendar not only supports a very worthy cause but it also helps support community awareness and promotes the health and fitness of firefighters in N S W and A C T Fire Services.

The N S W calendar has only been running for a few years and it is getting bigger and better every year, helping to ease the pain and suffering of children who are unlucky enough to be hospitalized through a burns injury.

New Zealand Firefighters Calendar

New Zealand Firefighters Calendar 2011

This calendar has now been in production for 21 years, with a well established and dedicated following. The calendar allows firefighters the opportunity to proactively fund-raise to assist them in their international sporting endeavors, as well as raise a substantial amount of money for charities.

The Child Cancer Foundation has been the principal beneficiary for the past 18 years, having received over $500.000 from the proceeds of this calendar.

Toronto Firefighters Calendar

The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation has partnered with the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association in the fight against cancer by raising funds to support cancer research at Princess Margaret Hospital.

The Fire Fighters’ Cancer Research Fund was established in 1998 to raise money for Princess Margaret Hospital. Since inception, almost $1 million has been raised for this fund. The hospital benefits from a variety of annual firefighters’ fundraising events including the Rob Penney Memorial Slo-Pitch Tournament, Ross Forfar Memorial Golf Tournament, Toronto Fire Fighter Magic Show, and of course, the popular Toronto Fire Fighter Calendar. 100% of proceeds from the calendar go directly to the Fire Fighters’ Cancer Research Fund.

South Florida Firefighters Calendar

South Florida Firefighters Calendar

When firefighter Luis Espinosa attended the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) bi-annual convention in 1990, he was inspired to take lead on a new form of community service in South Florida. Members of the Houston and Vancouver Fire Departments were exhibiting their firefighters calendars, raising money for various charities. That ignited Espinosa to start a charity firefighter calendar.

As a former model/actor in South Florida, known as a Mecca for fitness and modeling, Espinosa thought he could easily find firemen whose looks would be in demand for such an endeavor. He worked hard for two years, learning how to create a charity, find and work with pro-bono professional photographers, graphic artists, printers and volunteers as well as sponsors.

By 1992 he had created a hot calendar that was destined to one of the most successful charity calendars, having raised over $240,000 to benefit charities such as the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, Habitat for Humanity’s Hurricane Andrew Fund, Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities, Neighbors 4 Neighbors, Best Buddies, Cystic Fibrosis, Safehaven for Newborns and Here’s Help.

WSCFF – Washington State Firefighter Calendar

Washington State Firefighters Calendar

This calendar has funded many worthwhile burn research programs and have expanded its mission to include sponsoring children with burn injuries to a week long summer camp, providing funding for smoke detector programs for low income and elderly residents, sponsoring a fire safety museum and providing burn prevention kits for new mothers.

Fired Up For Kids – Colorado Firefighter Calendar

Fired Up For Kids

Fired Up For Kids is a Denver-based nonprofit organization that creates and produces the Colorado Firefighter Calendar. Firefighters from all over the state of Colorado donate many hours of their time each year to help Fired Up For Kids fundraise and raise awareness for The Children’s Hospital Burn Center. These men and women represent one of the noblest professions, and this calendar is a tribute to them as well as the children they help every day.

Fired Up For Kids donates all proceeds received from special events and sales of The Colorado Firefighter Calendar to The Children’s Hospital Burn Center. The burn center is committed to providing the highest standard of burn care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents up to 21 years of ages in the Rocky Mountain region. To date, Fired Up For Kids has raised more than $375,000 for patient care, education, equipment and research.

Tom Clifford, 36, could not find a woman to love him because of the way he looked, until he met Janine Walker.

Tom Clifford and Janine Walker

The pair, from Gloucestershire, Britain, had a whirlwind romance after meeting last month in October on Britain’s first dating agency for ugly people. After just four dates – and a mutual love of junk food and TV dinners – they got engaged this week.

The dating website, www.theuglybugball.com, was set up a year ago for the “aesthetically challenged”.

Janine does not mind the way he looks, and calls Tom her “handsome prince”. She has also decided that he is the one for her after four dates.

Tom, a carpet fitter, was quoted as saying: ‘I’ve been a joke to women for years because of the way I look. I always thought that I was too ugly to meet Mrs Right but my life changed when I met Janine. She’s beautiful and I love her in every possible way. I still can’t believe this happening.’

Tom had spotted Janine’s picture on the website and wrote her an email. It said: ‘Dear Janine, Just seen your beautiful face on The Ugly Bug Ball and would love to meet up. You live near me, so this shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve got a face that makes children cry but, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder – and I think you’ll love me too.’

Miss Walker, a shop assistant who lives with her parents, agreed to meet him, and the rest, as they say, is history.

She said: ‘I appreciate that Tom isn’t Brad Pitt, but then I’m no Angelina Jolie either. ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to me Tom’s the perfect, handsome prince.

Self–confessed “great personalities” Tom Clifford and Janine Walker have also accepted a free honeymoon to Borth, Wales, offered by the dating agency to celebrate their upcoming nuptials and are in the midst of planning an intimate wedding for friends and family near their homes in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire.

A spokesman for the site said: “This is our first engagement, and we are obviously delighted for them both.

“We offered them the trip to Borth because we have a company caravan there and wish them every success in the future.”

I first read the poem “The Touch Of The Master’s Hand” many many years ago and the poem has remained a favorite of mine since. This timeless piece of poetry is one of the most beautiful and inspiring poems that I have ever read.

The Touch Of The Master's Hand

The Touch Of The Master’s Hand by Myra Brooks Welch

‘Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer

Thought it scarcely worth his while

To waste much time on the old violin,

But held it up with a smile.

“What am I bidden, good folks,” he cried,

“Who’ll start the bidding for me?”

“A dollar, a dollar. Then two! Only two?

Two dollars, and who’ll make it three?”

“Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;

Going for three…” But no,

From the room, far back, a grey-haired man

Came forward and picked up the bow;

Then wiping the dust from the old violin,

And tightening the loosened strings,

He played a melody pure and sweet,

As a caroling angel sings.

The music ceased, and the auctioneer,

With a voice that was quiet and low,

Said: “What am I bid for the old violin?”

And he held it up with the bow.

“A thousand dollars, and who’ll make it two?

Two thousand! And who’ll make it three?

Three thousand, once; three thousand, twice,

And going and gone,” said he.

The people cheered, but some of them cried,

“We do not quite understand.

What changed its worth?” Swift came the reply:

“The touch of the Master’s hand.”

And many a man with life out of tune,

And battered and scarred with sin,

Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd

Much like the old violin.

A “mess of pottage,” a glass of wine,

A game — and he travels on.

He is “going” once, and “going” twice,

He’s “going” and almost “gone.”

But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd

Never can quite understand

The worth of a soul and the change that is wrought

By the touch of the Master’s hand.

“The Master’s Hand” was written by Myra Brooks Welch. She was called “The poet with the singing soul.” She came from a very musical family. As a young woman, Myra’s special love was playing the organ.

In 1921, she heard a speaker address a group of students. She said she became filled with light, and “Touch of the Master’s Hand” wrote itself in 30 minutes! She sent it anonymously to her church news bulletin. She felt it was a gift from God, and didn’t need her name on it. It’s popularity spread like magic. Finally, several years later, the poem was read at a religious international convention – “author unknown.” A young man stood up and said, “I know the author, and it’s time the world did too. It was written by my mother, Myra Welch.”

Then her name, as well her other beautiful works of poetry became known worldwide. All of her poetry told of the rejoicing she had in God’s love.

What the world did not see, was the woman who created these masterpieces: Myra in her wheelchair, battered and scarred from severe arthritis, which had taken away her ability to make music. Instead, her musical soul spoke through her poetry.

She took one pencil in each of her badly deformed hands. Using the eraser end, she would slowly type the words, the joy of them outweighing the pain of her efforts. Her words, a joyous expression of the wonders of life, as seen by a singing soul that was touched by the Master’s Hand.

As a friend turned to leave her home, Myra patted the arm of her wheelchair and said, “And I thank God for this!” Imagine being grateful for a wheelchair! But her talent lay undiscovered prior to her wheelchair days. Rather than becoming bitter, she chose to let her handicap make her better, and a wonderful new door opened for her.
