In September, LA Galaxy football star David Beckham sued the publishers of In Touch magazine and former prostitute Irma Nici for an article alleging he committed adultery five times with Bosnian-born hooker Irma Nici in 2007. Beckham has now stepped up his fight against Nici, filing court documents officially declaring he did not have sex with Nici.

The documents are part of Beckham’s $US25 million lawsuit against Nici and the publishers of  German-owned US magazine In Touch Weekly, who ran her story in September in which she claimed Beckham hired her and a “curvy brunette” for sex romps at New York’s Le Parker Meridien Hotel in 2007.

“I have never met Nici, let alone committed adultery or paid her for sex,” he declared in the documents filed with a Los Angeles court on Tuesday.

In his declaration, the sporting hunk insists Nici “fabricated” the facts of her expose, and goes on to list them.

The declaration states: “Nici fabricated the following facts about me:

“(i) that in August 2007, I committed adultery with Nici and another prostitute by paying for sex with the two of them … (ii) that about a month later, I again committed adultery with Nici at the Claridges Hotel in London; (iii) that in October 2007, I contacted Nici while I was in New York seeking to again commit adultery, but Nici was in London; (iv) that Nici has had sex with me five times in total.

“Irma Nici’s statements have caused me and my family great anguish and emotional distress, and have adversely affected both my personal and professional life.”

Beckham has been married to former Spice girl Victoria Beckham for 11 years.

Bosnian-born Nici is counter-suing the former England star for a million dollars, claiming he caused her “emotional and physical pain and distress”.

Now, as a result of her counter-suit, Beckham will be ordered to give his deposition at a private hearing within the next month.

Unlike the British legal system, Nici will be allowed to fire questions at the football star about their alleged liaison. Nici’s lawyer Paul Jensen has revealed he may unveil the mystery brunette, who would also be allowed to grill Beckham.

Nici’s attorney has also filed a motion to dismiss Beckham’s case against her, which will be heard at Los Angeles Superior Court Feb 16.

Jensen insisted: “Even his own lawyers don’t expect to win this litigation. California law does not allow public figures like David Beckham to stifle free speech.”

Nici, 26, claimed she was paid $10,000 cash after sleeping with him on five occasions, including liaisons at the Manhattan’s Le Parker Meridian Hotel and London’s Claridges Hotel in London in 2007.

She is counter-suing the footballer for ‘emotional and physical injuries.’ She is said to be claiming for the injuries received when a writ server hired by Beckham’s legal team chased and harassed her so severely she ended up in a hospital cardiac unit, suffering intense chest pains.

It borders on the ridiculous that Nici would counter-sue for the ‘emotional AND physical’ injuries she sustained when the papers were served. It is more a case of hoping to make a fast buck by fabricating some story that would greatly embarrass the soccer star.
