Ford Models Supermodel of the World is the largest and most prestigious international modeling competition. Aspiring models from more than 40 countries join the annual competition.
The contest, which was established by Eileen Ford in 1980 under the name “Face of the 80s”, aims to discover new models for the international fashion industry.
On October 31 last year Danica bagged the Ford Supermodel of the World-Philippines title, like her mom Milagros Lala Flores had done 21 years before her. Lala represented the Philippines internationally and won the Crest Best Smile award. Lala Flores is now a renowned professional makeup artist.
Danica Flores Magpantay has thus managed to nail the prestigious title of Supermodel of the World 2011 which eluded her mum. And she is the first ever Filipina to win the contest.
