An online challenge of “how many coins can you put over your collarbones?” has gone viral with the trending topic amassing more than 34 million hits on Sina Weibo, China’s equivalent of Twitter, within 24 hours after it appeared on June 16.
The challenge post asserts that the more coins you can hold, the better your figure is. And coins must be kept standing up as much as possible.
Thousands of web users, mostly women, have responded by uploading selfies showing how many coins they can hold with their collarbones.
Chinese actress Lv Jiarong has been pictured holding around 80 coins on her two collarbones while still managing to take a selfie.
This trend is the latest to emerge in China coming a week after a similar ‘belly button challenge’ took over China.
It will be just a matter of time before China comes out with another wacky trend. Stay tuned!
